(apologies to both correspondents, i know how this looks)

get a typically dickensian email from an indian bookstore chain: “give your schoolbag to an ‘underprivileged child’ and get 100 rupees at our store.” aw shucks, they really do care! sigh. i’m just hoping those bloody ‘underprivileged’ are grateful!
