everything you say i agree with, except that little will change... you never know how the world goes, history has the last laugh, not us. and history makes extraordinary things happen, you never know how or why. the paris commune, one of the most extraordinary and glorious events of the last 200 years, happened because of a war that not only was not about the poor, it exploited the poor even more! and yet, everything it achieved, is now active policy in most european countries. even if, ironically its massacres did perhaps leave a lasting legacy of fear.

I am in the USA. We have a problem with healthcare. The wealthy have the opinion that the poor or near-poor have no right to healthcare because they did not earn it. They hate that Obama got a measure of care for the poor and the new republican party has vowed to repeal it. No care for anyone who does not have the money to pay for it. It boils down to the comments of Glenn Beck, that the government does not have he right to take the rich man's money to take care of the unfortunate. That rich man earned it, and the poor did not earn it.

I have always contended that we are on this earth to do one thing...take care of each other. That is what is preached in the churches...by ministers of all the faiths. "Send me money and I will feed he hungrey and clothe the naked." The money pours in and the men of god take it to the bank. They spend a lot of money on their own desires and debasements. We catch them all the time with both male and female prostitutes. The poor send in the money, not the rich. The preacher is now rich. The poor go without. It is a funny thing that the almighty god is all knowing and all powerful..but is broke and needs money.

If the less fortunate used the power that the masses can muster, there could be an end to the inequity. But there is a fear, and far too many children to worry about. I fear little will change. Our world is on the verge of severe shortages, but the rich will not suffer any loss. The poor will starve, because they did not earn enough to survive. The rich will eat well because they earned it...even if they never worked a day in their lives.
